Acrisius
Ἀκρίσιος
The king who locked his daughter in a bronze chamber to escape his grandson — and was struck by that grandson's discus.
King of Argos. Told by an oracle that he would die at his grandson's hand, he locked his daughter Danae in a bronze chamber.
When Zeus seeped in as a shower of gold and Perseus was born, he sealed mother and child in a chest and set it adrift on the sea.
Years later, at a discus competition, the discus Perseus threw veered in the wind and struck an old man in the stands. So, Apollodorus tells us, the oracle he fled was fulfilled.
