Amphion & Zethus
Ἀμφίων, Ζῆθος
Twins whose lyre music made the stones roll into place on their own.
Zethus hauled the stones on his back; Amphion played the lyre — and the stones followed the sound, settling into place by themselves.
They are drawn as brothers quarreling over which is more useful, strength or art. In the end, it was song that built the wall faster.
Amphion was the husband of Niobe. When her boasting about her children cost them all fourteen, he fell with her.
