Aphrodite
Ἀφροδίτη · Roman 베누스 (Venus)
The goddess of love, born from sea foam.
She has two birth stories: Hesiod says she rose from the foam around Uranus's severed flesh in the sea; Homer calls her the daughter of Zeus and Dione.
She was the wife of the smith Hephaestus but fell in love with Ares — and Hephaestus trapped the pair under an invisible net and displayed them before the gods.
By promising Paris "the most beautiful woman," she won the golden apple — and that promise lit the fuse of the Trojan War.
