Boreas
Βορέας · Roman 아퀼로 (Aquilo)
The rough north wind that drives in the winter.
He is the fiercest of the four winds — the opposite of gentle Zephyrus, the west wind.
He carried off the Athenian woman Orithyia and became a son-in-law of Athens, so the Athenians counted him as kin.
When storms wrecked the Persian fleet in 480 BC, the Athenians credited Boreas and built him an altar.
