Heracles

Ἡρακλῆς · Roman 헤르쿨레스 (Hercules)

The strongest hero in Greece.

As the son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmene he earned Hera's hatred — and his name, cruelly enough, means "the glory of Hera."

Driven mad by Hera, he killed his own family, and to cleanse that guilt he undertook the twelve labors.

The Nemean lion, the Hydra, fetching Cerberus — each one is a story in itself.

After death he became a god, ascended to Olympus, and, we are told, was even reconciled with Hera.
