Hestia

Ἑστία · Roman 베스타 (Vesta)

The goddess with no stories, keeper of the fires of home and city.

Firstborn of Cronus and Rhea, she chose never to marry and to keep the hearth instead.

She has almost no myths. Staying put was this goddess's calling, so there was no room for stories to happen.

In Rome's temple of Vesta, virgin priestesses kept the nation's fire from going out. Letting it die was a grave crime.

Some later lists say she gave up her seat among the Twelve to Dionysus.
