Ixion
Ἰξίων
A king bound to an ever-turning wheel for coveting Hera.
Though he had murdered his father-in-law, Zeus forgave him — the first mortal seated at the table of Olympus.
When he lusted after Hera at that very table, Zeus shaped a cloud into her likeness to test him.
From his union with that cloud came the centaurs — and Ixion was bound to a burning wheel, turning forever.
