Centaur
Κένταυρος
A race that is human above the waist and horse below.
They are usually drawn as a rowdy lot who cannot hold their wine — most famously the drunken riot they raised at the Lapith wedding.
That battle, the Centauromachy, was carved into the reliefs of the Parthenon: an emblem of civilization's victory over savagery.
Chiron alone is the exception — a teacher who taught medicine and music.
