Odysseus
Ὀδυσσεύς · Roman 울릭세스 (Ulysses)
The hero who won with his head, not his strength.
He devised the Trojan Horse and ended a ten-year war.
Getting home took him another ten years. Past the Cyclops, the Sirens, and Circe, he lost every last man of his crew.
The scene where he escapes the Cyclops by giving his name as "Nobody" (Outis) captures his character in a single stroke.
The story of that homecoming is the Odyssey — the source of the word odyssey, a long journey.
