Pallas

Πάλλας

Father of Nike, Cratos, Zelus, and Bia — the four siblings of victory and power.

With Styx, goddess of the river, he fathered Nike (Victory), Cratos (Power), Zelus (Rivalry), and Bia (Force).

When the Titan war broke out, Styx brought these children to Zeus' side before anyone else — and for that service, Hesiod tells, the four siblings dwell beside Zeus forever.

Of their father Pallas himself, almost nothing survives. He is a Titan whose name hangs on the family tree, and little more.

Commonly confused

Not the Pallas of "Pallas Athena," Athena's epithet. There is also a Giant of the same name — the classical sources themselves often mixed them up.
