Perses

Πέρσης

The Titan who married Asteria, Titan of stars, and fathered Hecate.

Son of Crius and Eurybia, he is brother to Astraeus and Pallas.

Hesiod calls him "eminent in wisdom," and tells that Hecate was born of his union with Asteria, the star Titan.

What he passed down to the goddess of crossroads and magic is nowhere written. There is only the interpretation that his name is linked to destruction.
