Typhon
Τυφῶν
The mightiest monster in myth, who battled Zeus himself.
Gaia bore him in revenge for the Titan war. His head reached the sky, and a hundred snake heads sprouted from his shoulders.
In the fight with Zeus he even tore out the god's sinews for a time, but in the end he was struck by the thunderbolt and pinned beneath Mount Etna.
With Echidna he fathered Cerberus, the Hydra, and the Chimera. Most of the famous monsters are this couple's children.
