Gaia
Γαῖα · Roman 테라 (Terra)
The earth, and mother of everything.
Gaia is not a goddess who rules the earth — she is the earth. In Greek myth, the land is alive from the very start.
Alone, she bore the sky (Uranus), the sea (Pontus), and the mountains; then she took that sky as her husband and bore the Titans.
When Uranus imprisoned her children, Gaia forged a sickle and placed it in the hands of her youngest, Cronus. Myth's first rebellion was a mother's plan.
