Amaltheia
Ἀμάλθεια
The goat who nursed the infant Zeus hidden away on Crete.
She raised the baby Zeus in a cave, hidden from Cronus.
From her broken horn flowed whatever one wished for, without end — the horn of plenty, the cornucopia.
One tradition says Zeus made a shield from her hide. In that version, this is the origin of the aegis.
