Cronus
Κρόνος · Roman 사투르누스 (Saturn)
The Titan who overthrew his father — and was overthrown by his son.
He toppled his father Uranus and became king, only to hear a prophecy that a child of his would do the same to him.
So he swallowed each child Rhea bore, the moment it was born. For the youngest, Zeus, Rhea handed him a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes instead.
Zeus grew up, forced him to vomit up his siblings, and won a ten-year war against the Titans.
In Rome he merged with Saturn and became a god of agriculture; his festival, the Saturnalia, left traces in later Christmas customs.

He is not the same god as Chronos (Χρόνος), the god of time — even the spelling differs. Chronology and chronic come from the time-Chronos, and have nothing to do with the Titan Cronus.
