Leto
Λητώ · Roman 라토나 (Latona)
The goddess who fled Hera's persecution and bore twins on Delos.
Because she carried Zeus's child, Hera forbade every land on earth to receive her.
Only Delos, an island drifting on the sea, took her in — and there Artemis and Apollo were born.
Delos then became the holiest island in the Greek world — for a time, both being born and dying on the island were forbidden.
