Minotaur
Μινώταυρος
A creature with a man's body and a bull's head, locked in a labyrinth.
He was born as punishment after King Minos of Crete failed to sacrifice the bull Poseidon had sent him.
Confined in the Labyrinth built by Daedalus, he devoured the young people Athens was forced to send.
Theseus killed him. The name itself means "the bull of Minos."
