The inventor who built the Labyrinth — and was imprisoned in it.

He built the Labyrinth of Crete, and was then locked inside his own creation with his son.

He made wings to escape, but lost his son Icarus in the flight.

There is also a story that he murdered a gifted nephew out of jealousy — a genius with a deep shadow.
