The daughter of Pontus, introduced as having a heart of adamant in her breast.
Daughter of Pontus and Gaia, she is sister to Nereus, Thaumas, Phorcys, and Ceto.
Hesiod spends a single line introducing her — and in it writes that she has "a heart of adamant within her breast."
She married the Titan Crius and bore Astraeus, Pallas, and Perses. Stars, victory, and destruction all came from that heart of steel.
