Hyperion
Ὑπερίων
The father of the sun, the moon, and the dawn.
His name means "he who goes on high." Tradition makes him the Titan who governed light itself.
With his sister Theia he fathered Helios, Selene, and Eos — the three who cross the sky, all from one pair of parents.
He hardly appears in any story, yet his place in the genealogy has kept his name alive everywhere.
