Hesperides
Ἑσπερίδες
Nymphs who guard the golden apple tree at the western edge of the world.
Their name comes from "evening" — they dwell where the sun goes down.
They tended the golden apple tree Gaia gave Hera as a wedding gift, with the dragon Ladon keeping watch beside them.
Fetching these apples was the eleventh labor of Heracles — and he never picked them himself. He sent Atlas.
